Church of Nuestra Senora de La Candelaria
The 18th century Church of Nuestra Senora de La Candelaria is located in La Oliva. It was built subsequently to the decline of Betancuria. Chronologically speaking, it is not the first place of worship in La Oliva. The Church of Nuestra Senora de La Candelaria replaced in significance the former edifice dedicated to the Virgen del Rosario, and it is a substantiation of the somehow similar historic trajectory of La Oliva and Pajara. The nowadays edifice is the result of plenty of restoration works it had to undergo over the centuries.
